Protecting Local Farmers

North Dakota farmers, ranchers and rural communities need prosperity and sustainability to thrive. Dakota Resource Council has worked for years for fair and open livestock markets to restore competition. DRC works with farmers to ensure that the markets for the foods are livestock are fair.

Preserving Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Another piece of rural North Dakota is about to be changed forever by a proposed coal drying plant, a coal mine, and a coal power generating plant. This industrial coal project threatens the way of life for the farming community of South Heart, ND and is sited just 13 miles from Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
